Alfred (aged 42) was at Huntroyde from 17 October 1916, to 3 November 1916.

Alfred is standing on the left, on the right is 4374 Rifleman William Allen 13th Battalion, Rifle Brigade.

Born at Walworth on the 4 January 1873. He was a single man who prior to joining was employed as a painter and decorator. Enlisted 23 March 1915 into the A.S.C.

To France on the 5 May 1915 where he served for 1 year and 4 months. Discharged on the 3 January 1919.
