George is seated. He was at Huntroyde from January 26th, 1915 to February 16th, 1915. Behind him without a cap is 3/1280Private William Barker 2nd Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and with cap is 10617 Private Thomas Hughes, Royal Irish Fusiliers.

Thain shows his number as 7717 in the Huntroyde Register, however a search of the Medal Index Cards shows this number as being incorrect - George Thain's correct number is as above and all other details fit in.
