8008 Sergeant Thomas Hogg, 7th Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. Later 30545 Sergeant, Machine Gun Corps. Thomas is standing, he was at Huntroyde from 20 November
1915 to 21 December 1915. Seated is R13466 Rifleman John Allinson, King's Royal
Rifle Corps. Born at Blackburn, Lancashire on the 3 August 1870, the
son of Thomas and Mary Ann Hogg. Enlisted into the King's Own Scottish
Borderers on the 5 January 1890. Served in India and was awarded the IGS
with bars Relief of Chitral 1895, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 and Tirah 1897-98.
Also served in South Africa from 1899 - 1902 and was awarded the Queen's
and King's South Africa Medals. Wounded on the 25 September 1915 at Loos.
