in the London Gazette of 27 June 1918. Rycroft was a native of Colne, Lancashire.
James Rycroft. M.M. is buried in the Nelson Corporation Cemetery, Walton Lane,
Nelson. His gravestone reads :- "In loving memory of James Rycroft, M.M.
1898 - 1984 and Ivy his wife 1902 -1932."
